Sculpting new narratives with Andrew Braunberger

Discover Andrew Braunberger, a pivotal mixed-media artist whose vision and personal journey deeply resonate with SCULPT's mission to foster healing and growth through art and nature. His unique perspective helps us cultivate new beginnings.

Art, memory, and manifestation

Andrew Braunberger, a Minneapolis-based mixed-media artist, brings a practice rooted in surrealism and abstraction to SCULPT. Through collage and painting, he explores the intricate layers of human experience, delving into the intersection of memory and manifestation. Andrew's unique process deconstructs past imagery to rebuild new, often dreamlike narratives, challenging viewers to look beyond the surface.

Andrew's profound personal journey with mental health, ongoing since his 1992 diagnosis, deeply informs his artistic empathy. His mother's early encouragement of his artwork laid a foundational love for creative expression. His father's colorblindness has been a continuous driving force behind Andrew's fascination with color and perception, adding a unique depth to his contribution to SCULPT's  work.

A journey of healing and perception

Unlocking flourishing through expression

Andrew is currently focused on the dialogue between analog craftsmanship and digital evolution, as seen in initiatives like Future on Paper. He firmly believes that human expression holds the key to unlocking the flourishing of the world—in health, social realities, the environment, and the global economic system. This philosophy perfectly aligns with SCULPT's vision of turning past trauma into living gardens through creative and tactile processes.

"Human expression holds the key to unlock the flourishing of the world."
